What powers AI?

This talk deals with the technical aspects of Large Language Models (LLMs), in particular the hardware used for training and inferencing, as well as the challenges of building and operating such systems. An overview is given of the technology used, the problems associated with it and future developments, without going into detail about how an LLM works. The focus is on the special requirements and characteristics of the application area.
